Minnith Road Bridge
This project consisted of preparing plans and specifications for a four-span, 300 foot bridge across Saline Creek at Minnith Road in Ste. Genevieve County. The new bridge replaced an existing 18-foot high truss structure, which was constructed in 1920 and had limited load capacity. Due to heavy equipment loadings, this bridge was designed for an HS-20 loading, utilizing precast I-sections. The bridge’s abutments are founded upon steel H-piles carried to rock. This bridge was approved for construction by the Federal Highway Agency and the Missouri Highway Commission, and constructed under the Federal Highway Off System Bridge Program.
