Mid-America Airport
This passenger terminal, located in Mascoutah, Illinois near Scott Air Force Base, is comprised of approximately 53,000 square feet including airline office and ticketing areas, outbound and inbound baggage handling, two departure lounges connected by a concourse with concession areas, international flight support space, and associated support areas such as mechanical, security and communication rooms.
Hurst-Rosche, in conjunction with Gensler Associates Architects and David Mason and Associates, completed the design phase and construction this project which included architectural, engineering, and interior designing of the terminal facility, lighting and electrical systems, heating and ventilating systems, finish grading adjacent to the building, lightning arrestor system, fire alarm and sprinkler system, two baggage handling systems, two aircraft passenger loading bridges, specifications of material testing for quality assurance during construction, and the fixtures, furniture and equipment (FF&E).
