McKinley Healthcare
Hurst-Rosche was selected by Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation to provide a condition report for their twenty-eight sites. The assessment aided SIHF in evaluating their needs and focusing their attention on the sites where healthcare services are needed the most.
The Granite City location was selected for the new 30,000 s.f. facility. HR aided SIHF in the evaluation and selection of the site. The selected site was the home of an abandoned school which will be razed prior to the start of construction. However, the other site had abandoned fuel tanks and over eleven buildings that would have to be razed. HR/DAi also provided the ALTA survey for the property and aided SIHF throughout the property acquisition.
This is the first new facility constructed by SIHF in over 15 years and will provide services for pediatrics, behavioral health, adult medicine, and dental care. The design of the new facility includes a geo-thermal heating and cooling system that is located beneath the new parking lot. The study conducted by HR indicates that this system will save SIHF approximately $18,000.00 from their operational budget.
HR provided all design services for this project and completed the documents within a two-month time period meeting the stringent grant requirements.
