Housing Authority of the County of Franklin
The Housing Authority of the County of Franklin, through the Comprehensive Grant Program and Capital Fund Program has modernized and are in the process of modernizing their properties throughout the county. Hurst-Rosche Engineers have been involved with many of the Housing Authority’s projects. Some projects are the Kuca Hi-rise renovations, site renovations, and interior renovations.
Kuca-Hi-rise renovations consisted of removal of existing and installation of new energy saving aluminum windows in all dwelling units, installation of new aluminum storefronts, and installation of new split-faced CMU veneer.
Site improvements consisted of five phases. The improvements included removal of existing concrete side walks, parking area, and site lighting and installation of new reinforced concrete sidewalks, parking areas, and new lighting. Site improvements also included site grading for proper drainage.
Dwelling unit renovations are also divided in phases. The Housing Authority of the County of Franklin is currently on Phase V of interior renovations. Dwelling unit renovations consist of floor tile abatement, installation of new kitchen cabinets, new doors and hardware, new plumbing fixtures, new furnaces, and minor electrical work.
