Collinsville Water Treatment Plant
|
Hurst-Rosche Engineers provided a
preliminary design assessment of a previous preliminary engineering report
prepared by another firm. Hurst-Rosche assisted the City with a
subsequent structural evaluation and cost analysis of the existing WTP building
and structures in which it was determined that it was not economically feasible
to rehabilitate the existing structures. Hurst-Rosche was retained by the
City of Collinsville to proceed with the design of a new 5.0 MGD Water
Treatment Plant. The new WTP will consist of a new head tank and aerator;
two 47’ diameter claricones; four 21’ diameter decelerating filters; a new
clearwell and high service pump facilities; and new chemical feed systems for
their chlorine, fluoride, lime, alum and carbon dioxide.
