A corporation made up of Touchette Regional Hospital officials and Metropolitan Housing Development Corporation received a $7 million HUD grant to construct and operate a senior housing complex.
This project consisted of a complete design of a three-story structure, which contains 75 dwelling units, each having 540 square feet of living space, lobby, kitchen, computer rooms, laundry room and a large multi-purpose room. Design included two elevators serving the three floors, each one supporting the different wings of the building.
Apartments were designed in 2002; constructed in 2003.
