Hurst-Rosche Engineers, Inc. provided engineering services
for this 12-unit assisted-living project being constructed in a waterfront
community on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Services included site layout,
grading and sediment control, and design of the public water and sewer
systems. Hurst-Rosche also prepared a preliminary concept plan and landscape
rendering for presentation to the town.

Cabin Creek Ridge – Section 5
Residential subdivision

Hurst-Rosche Engineers, Inc. provided planning, engineering and surveying
services for the final section of this rural residential subdivision on
Maryland’s Eastern Shore. This section comprised eleven lots on approximately
25 acres of the 65-lot, 91 acre development.
Hurst-Rosche’s services included preparation of the Preliminary Plan,
Road and Drainage Plan, and Final/Record Plat. Preliminary Plan design
included preliminary layout of the development, assisting the clients
with processing of groundwater appropriation permits for wells,
percolation testing for on-site sewage disposal systems, and client
representation at public meetings. The design of the road and drainage
plan included extension of the open-section County road with culverts,
sediment and erosion control and provisions for stormwater management.
The Final/Record Plat design included, in addition to the eleven lots, a home
owners association open-space/recreation parcel and easements for drainage
and utilities, septic reserve areas, wetland protection areas, and forest
conservation areas. Hurst-Rosche assisted the clients with acquisition of
all necessary permits and represented them at meetings and conferences
before the reviewing bodies and public agencies.

Hurst-Rosche is completing design, plans, and permit applications for a new
business park. Tasks included subsurface analysis, site layout, parking lot,
roadways, waterlines, sanitary sewer lines, storm sewer system including
retention basin and landscaping. Also included soil borings, geotechnical
analysis, foundation design and construction administration/supervision.
Estimated construction cost of $2,500,00.
