Tank Closure and New Tank Design

Hurst-Rosche Engineers, Inc. has extensive experience in the removal and replacement of above ground and underground storage tanks (UST), and leaking underground storage tanks (LUST). Services provided have included design services that comply with regulations of all regulating agencies including USEPA, IEPA, OSHA, and Illinois State Fire Marshal, and sampling in accordance with IEPA Standards. In the event of an UST becoming a LUST, Hurst-Rosche has completed the necessary 20 day IEPA Certification Form, 45 day IEPA Report Form, and IEPA Corrective Action Report. When requested, Hurst-Rosche has assisted the Using Agency in making an application to the IEPA UST Fund for costs of any corrective actions. Hurst-Rosche is also experienced in working under emergency conditions and has assisted in obtaining tank registration, removal permits, and waste generator identification numbers.

All work is completed by experienced Engineering Technicians who have completed the OSHA Health and Safety Training Course and are under the supervision of Registered Professional Engineers.
