Effective January 1, 2007, Hurst-Rosche completed the stock purchase of L & L Surveys, Inc., located at 221 E. Main St., Neosho, Missouri, which is 15 miles from Joplin.

The Company was established in the 1940's by Mr. Harry Hatcher in Granby, Missouri. He was a self taught licensed engineer, surveyor, realtor and was instrumental in passing the Land Surveyor Registration Act and was given the first Missouri Registered Land Surveyor license No. 1. Later he moved to Neosho and in 1985 was purchased by James Loncarich and Robert Lewis, they renamed to L & L Surveys, Inc. Their workload consisted of land and lot boundary surveys, subdivisions, topographic surveys and mine surveying.

L & L Surveys, Inc. is a subsidiary of Hurst-Rosche Engineers, Inc. Jim Loncarich, PLS is the office manager, surveyor and Vice President, his wife Patsy also continues to work for us as clerical/cadd technician. Also on staff are Phillip Doke and Mathew Cravens serving as rodmen.

Our goal, with our expansion in Neosho and our existing office in Joplin we can target new areas of work combining both surveying and engineering. We currently have several projects in Southwest Missouri and South East Kansas.

February 2006

Hurst-Rosche Engineers acquires Cross Country Land Surveying and Engineering

As of February 21, 2006, Hurst-Rosche Engineers acquired the assets and clients of Cross Country Land Surveying and Engineering, which has an office in Marion, Illinois. Cross Country specializes in providing surveying and engineering services to the coal mining industry in Illinois. Personnel and equipment from Cross Country will be relocated to the Hurst-Rosche's Marion office.

Hurst-Rosche believes that with the high energy prices for oil and natural gas, the resurgence of the coal industry in Illinois is just beginning. Hurst-Rosche believes that this is an opportunity to expand into this industry by providing surveying services for land or coal rights acquisitions, and engineering and surveying services for roadways, rail facilities and conveyor systems. Hurst-Rosche has offices in Hillsboro, Springfield, East St. Louis and Marion Illinois along with offices in Barnhart and Joplin Missouri.

As of April 21, 2005, Hurst-Rosche completed a stock purchase of the company named Metropolitan Engineering Co, d/b/a Metropolitan Engineering & Surveying. We are very excited about this addition to our company and our expansion into Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. This office is located in Barnhart, you can also visit the web site at www.metroes.com.
